The Holidays

The week before Christmas Dustin and I went to Colorado to see his family, find jobs and a house. We are moving to Colorado shortly after we get married so we had a lot to do in only a few short days. We spent countless hours online searching for an apartment only to come up with nothing. We found lots of options in the newspaper but those were all quickly eliminated when we drove by them. We drove past a house for rent and took a long shot and called the owner of that house actually had multiple rental properties and we were able to find us a cute duplex. Later that day we were also able to get really positive leads on jobs. It was so great to be able to have almost everything all figured out on our first day looking, which allowed us to enjoy the rest of our time there. We had a wonderful early Christmas and a lot of fun spending time with his family. On our way back to Utah we got delayed almost 4 hours in the Denver airport before we were able to get on a plane. It was a very long and exhausting night and led to a very long and exhausting day at work the next day. With all this crazy snow it made it impossible for us to make it to Idaho to my parent's house on Christmas so we had our own Christmas. Dustin was so great and made us a ham dinner. The next day the roads opened up and we were able to make it to Idaho and spend some time with my family. It was so nice and relaxing and ended all to soon. Now we are just a little over 20 days away from getting married and we are so excited!!!

Visit to the temple

Since Dustin and I had never seen the Mt. Timpanogos temple (that's where we are getting married) we decided to take a trip down that way and go see it. On our way down there we stopped in Park City and rode the Alpine Slide and Coaster and had a fun day there. After Park City we decided to stop in Oakley, Utah and see his grandma. The next day we made our way down to American Fork to see the temple. It is such a gorgeous temple. We had so much fun walking around the grounds and taking pictures. Although getting our picture together was tricky we managed to do it...we had to wait for people to come in and out of the temple who looked like they would be willing to take our picture. It was kinda funny.

Introduction

So I decided that almost everyone I know has a blog, so with being out of work for two weeks due to surgery and Dustin been at work every night for the past few nights I decided I would start us a blog of our own. Dustin and I met at Alberstons back in October when I moved back to Logan. We instantly became best friends and spent countless hours hanging out together and texting all the time in between that. On Thanksgiving break we started to play the question game (that's where you just sit and ask random questions back and forth), we played this for probably three days straight. After that game we both knew there was something there. After a few months of debating whether or not we wanted to risk losing our friendship, we started dating. We started dating at the end of January and at the end of June Dustin asked me to marry him. How great is it to marry your best friend?! I am extremely excited to get married and can't wait for January to come around!
